Description

If you’re experienced in maintenance, you'll be making a world of difference when you join us as an H&S Compliance Safety Operative at Achieve together.

Location: ­Nationwide

Contract / Shifts available: Permanent full-time

Rate:  £26,000 p/a plus company vehicle, fuel card, and store card for purchasing supplies

Additional information: A full driving licence is essential for this role.

Your new job: H&S Compliance Safety Operatives carry out a range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks to the relevant statutory requirements following fire safety inspections, fire risk assessment, internal & external audits and scheduled tasks.

Your role will include:

  • Carrying out remedial works following fire risk assessments and other fire safety related inspections (within scope and experience)
  • Completing fire safety repairs and maintenance to the relevant statutory requirements following the identification of defects
  • Preventative maintenance planning, including regular internal inspections

This role requires nationwide travel to meet the maintenance needs of our services.

Your Experience:  You will have knowledge of fire safety legislation, including Fire Safety Order 2005, and property compliance requirements, inspection types, and frequencies

You may have carpentry skills and will be able to research and source alternative products to ensure safety and future-proofing of environments.  You are a self-motivated team player with excellent time management and organisational skills, professional behaviour, and the ability to use initiative and work with conflicting deadlines.

Experience of working in care home settings is desirable but not essential
