Job Title:                         Waking Night Support Worker

Location:                         Hove, BN3 2DD.

Hours:                             up to 40 hours per week

Salary:                             £8.80 per hour

Information:                   This role is night work. Sleeping on shift is not permitted.

What do our Support Workers do?

Vallance Gardens is a residential service for adults aged 18+ with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), communication and sensory impairments and complex health needs including epilepsy. It is a new specialist service that provides 24 hour support to individuals, helping them to live as independently as possible.

As a waking night support worker you will be expected to ensure people are supported to gain a good night’s sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.

You will focus on ensuring the environment at night is safe and contributes to ensuring people are comfortable at night.

What experience do you need?

You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
