What do our Lead Support Workers do?

As a Lead Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service.  You will also be required to participate in the on call rota.  You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessments for the people we support.

Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager).  This means you may need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.  You may also be required to undertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.

Lewes Road is a large detached property with 10 en-suite studio flats, each with kitchenettes designed to help people live more independently. There are also communal spaces for individuals to socialise with others, including a larger kitchen facility, lounge and dining room area

What experience do you need?

Experience in a previous posistion and a strong backround in support work..

Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must, as well as computer (Word/Excel) skills and some knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.

An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is also required, and significant experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
