We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Support Worker at this service supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated health needs.

Vacancy Details

The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and kindness.  Our main priority, therefore, is to find staff with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.

Location: Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester. M23 0DU

Hours: 37.5 over 5 days, £9.50 per hour

Could this be you?

Your duties will be varied and no two days will be the same. You'll be providing support for day-to-day living, such as social activities, sports and hobbies, employment, holidays etc along with support with general household duties such as cooking, cleaning and money management. In some services, you may be required to undertake personal care.

As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to lead shifts and assist with coaching and inducting of new staff to the service. You will also be required to participate in the on call rota. You will write daily reports on activities, as well as devising and updating care plans and undertaking risk assessments for the people we support.

Our services operate 24/7, so you will work in shifts (as allocated by your manager).  This means you may need to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.

The Ideal Candidate

We expect our Senior Support Workers to share our vision to ensure that ‘every moment has potential’ for the people we support to learn new skills and to achieve their goals.

Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.

About The Company

The people we support live in homely, family-like residences, and are encouraged to participate fully in the local community.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the people we support, adults and children, and expect all staff to share this commitment.
