What do our Support Workers do?
Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.
Sheldon Drive is a supported living for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities with a focus on developing further independent skills and meeting outcome-focused goals.
People at Shelden Drive are supported to access a range of social and leisure activities including nature walks, swimming, bowling, arts and crafts, shopping and day trips. People are also supported in the development of domestic skills such as budgeting, meal planning and cooking sessions as well as other daily-skills sessions such as cleaning and gardening.
What experience do you need?
You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.
You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
