Salary:                             £8.80

Information:                   This role is shift work. Driver, full UK driving licence, is desired not essential

 

What do our Support Workers do?

Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.  

Kingsdown is a residential service supporting adults aged 18+ with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge and/or hearing impairments.

Kingsdown House supports people to take part in a range of in-house activities including gardening, cooking, art and craft sessions, sensory sessions, games and puzzles, DVD nights and music sessions. There are also regular reflexology and chiropody sessions.

People also take part in activities outside of the service including key skills teaching in the community, personal shopping and banking, visits to the library, to local restaurants and pubs and attending places of worship.

 

What experience do you need?

You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
