Are you looking for a role but can't commit to a full-time position?  We are looking for people that are willing to do a couple of shifts a week to fit around their own schedule that are interested in a role in the care sector.

“After breakfast, the people we support either relax, or get involved in activities of their choice, which I help them with. This might include attending communication workshops, playing games, going on trips around the county, going shopping, or anything else planned in their weekly schedules.

“Afterwards, some people like to go to the pub, where they’re fondly known by the locals. We judge the value of activities by asking: “does this meet their individual needs, and make them smile?”

We are looking for support workers for our lovely residential home in Littlehampton, West Sussex. We are paying £8.21 per hour plus benefits.

About Us

Harwich House supports adults with a learning disability, including those with visual impairment, autism and complex epilepsy. Our aim is to support individuals to achieve their goals, participate in meaningful activities and to build on their skills. All individuals will have a person-centred plan developed alongside a details communications passport.

We are situated five minutes away from Littlehampton seafront and is close to the town centre which offers shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Harwich also benefits from the facilities and resources of the larger nearby towns of Chichester and Worthing. The train station is also within walking distance.

About you

If you are a lover of the outdoors you will fit in nicely and if you are the creative type and love arts and crafts even better! The most important thing is that you are passionate about what you do and compassionate towards the people we support. Otherwise we ask that you are flexible in the hours you can work have good spoken and written English and are willing to learn and develop in your role.

Experience is desirable but not necessary as we have an excellent training programme in place!
