What do our Support Workers do?

Service – Allt y Cham

We are seeking Support Workers to join our team at Allt y Cham, a specialist Supported Living learning disability service in Pontardawe, situated 9ml from Swansea, 7ml from Neath and a few minutes from the main routes of the M4 & A465.

This charming 18th Century farmhouse is beautifully well presented and has been restored into 3 self-contained buildings: The Farm House, The Coach House and The Stables, providing a much loved home to eleven adults with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and complex health needs.

What is this role?

We currently have full-time vacancies for 12hr shift patterns.

As the People we Support have complex needs, experience with personal behaviour plans would be advantageous.

We are looking for dynamic support workers, with the ability to adapt and change your demeanour, approach and communication styles - at a moments notice. You are flexible and able to go with the flow, with the ability to prioritise tasks quickly.

What experience do you need?

Although a basic level of English and Math is required, we employ our Support Workers based on their ability to listen and communicated carefully and effectively.
