Job Title:                         Support Worker

Location:                         Grays, RM17 5GH

Hours:                             Full Time or Part Time 

Salary:                             £8.80

Information:                   This role is shift work. Driver, full UK driving licence, is desired not essential

 

What do our Support Workers do?

Honeywood is a supported living service for adults with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning disabilities, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, hearing impairments and epilepsy. The people we support are wheelchair users, so manual handling is a required part of the role. 

Individuals at Honeywood are supported to participate in a wide variety of activities including going to the pub, holidays, BBQ’s, Charokee and art therapy.

New members of staff are fully supported in the role and paired with a senior member of staff to support them in a welcoming environment

 

What experience do you need?

You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.

You will also need to be willing to provide intimate personal care for adults.
