What do our Support Workers do?
Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.
Sail Close is a supported living service for people with mental health needs and/or learning disabilities situated in the attractive and tranquil village of Gayton near King’s Lynn.
Individuals at Sail Close are supported to participate in activities that increase their independence and build on skills. This can include budgeting, self-care and meal preparation as well as leisure activities. A range of other activities are also offered such as football, bowling, swimming, shopping and going to the disco. Individuals are also supported in the use of public transport and often take trips to local attractions.
What experience do you need?
You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.
You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
