What do our Support Workers do?
Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.
Walnut Tree Lane is an all male supported living service for individuals with a learning disability ready to take the next steps towards independent living.
At Walnut Tree people are supported to lead active lives and take part in a variety of activities that increase social and communication skills. These can include a variety of activities such as bowling, cinema trips, swimming, cycling, day trips and meals out to name a few.
People are also supported in developing important life skills such as self care, meal preparation, budgeting and banking.
What experience do you need?
You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.
You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
