Information:                   This role is shift work. Driver, full UK driving licence, is desired not essential

 

What do our Support Workers do?

Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more.  

Wakeling House is an all female supported living service for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, emotional needs and epilepsy.

People are supported to take part in a range of leisure activities in order to build on social and communication skills. These can include swimming, gardening, bowling, shopping, cinema trips, music sessions, drama groups and multiple day trips.

Staff also assist people with the development of independent living skills such as cooking, meal preparation, budgeting and self-care.

 

What experience do you need?

You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
