We are seeking dedicated and caring support workers for our residential and supported living services, supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated health needs.

The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice.  Our main priority, therefore, is to find support workers with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.

Activities at this Service:

  • Drivers needed to drive the service vehicle
  • This is an active house
  • We do horse riding
  • Taking our residents to day space (day centre)
  • Helping in with the Gardening
  • Assisting out residents with cooking
  • Taking them out in the Community
  • We go out with our residents to help with food and clothes shopping
  • The residents love coffee I hope you do to as we take them to the Cafes
  • We all love a day out at fairs and fates.
  • We love have fun down our local pub
  • Our disabilities do not affect our abilities!!

 

Could this be you?

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and many of the people we support require support during the night.

You will be expected to ensure people are supported to gain a good night’s sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.

You will focus on ensuring the environment at night is safe and contributes to ensuring people are comfortable at night.

Your shifts will be allocated on a rota basis and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must.
  • An NVQ/Diploma L2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and some experience in care work would be an added bonus, but we have a fantastic in-house training team who can help you along if you are taking your first steps in your career as a support worker.
  • Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
