Waking Night Support Worker

Wirral (CH49)

£8.80 Hourly, 8pm - 8am. Week 1: 3 shifts, Week 2: 4 shifts (2 week rolling rota)

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Waking Night Support Worker for our Supported Living Service, supporting adults with learning disabilities and associated health needs.

The people we support are at the heart of everything we do - they are wonderful individuals and deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and choice. Our main priority, therefore, is to find Support Workers with values, behaviours and attitudes to match our own.

Could this be you?

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and many of the people we support require support during the night.

You will be expected to ensure people are supported to gain a good night’s sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing.

You will focus on ensuring the environment at night is safe and contributes to ensuring people are comfortable at night.

Your shifts will be allocated on a rota basis, and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.

Please note our Waking Night Support Workers are required to remain awake and vigilant throughout their night shift, even breaks.  You will be required to check on residents as required by their care plans, and provide any support needed.  Sleeping on duty is not permitted at any time.

The Ideal Candidate

You will ideally have some experience in a role similar and basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as good English are a must.

Above all you need to be kind, caring and ready to work as a team to ensure that our services are comfortable, happy, fulfilling and safe places to live.
