The Role:

This is a key position supporting a large growth plan within Achieve Together, you will report directly to the Head of Acquisitions and Projects and manage the acquisitions process, including due diligence and integration in this busy and varied role. 

Key Duties:

  • Regularly reviewing the CQC, CIW and RQIA websites to ensure provider databases are up to date
  • Contribute to the development of the growth and development strategy for the organisation
  • Identification of opportunities for future acquisitions
  • Support with completing operational due diligence in the initial stages and to the point of completion
  • Assessing risks and identifying opportunities to reduce and / or mitigate risks
  • Work with local operations team, finance team, Quality & compliance team, People team, IT team and other key functional representatives throughout the due diligence and integration process to ensure that each work stream is meeting project target timelines
  • Supporting and delivering comprehensive integration plans within new acquisitions
  • Working closely with the vendors of the target companies throughout the acquisition process
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports for post-acquisition business reviews
  • If the target company provides supported living services, commence discussions with Housing Association(s) as necessary at project initiation stage

  • Support with drafting operational due diligence reports, one-page board memos and contribute to the development of the final investment memo
  • Work closely with the M&A manager to develop financial models, and liaise closely with the operations team in their sign-off of operational structure
  • Support with establishing Project Control Groups (to meet regularly) of all key stakeholders to oversee the project from commencement of the project and throughout the integration stage

 Your experience:

  • Have a proactive and innovative approach to identifying opportunities for future acquisitions and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Excellent project management skills, including evidence of delivering projects and managing cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Experience in the development of business cases
  • Proven track record of working on a number of simultaneous projects at different stages
  • Senior operational leadership experience with extensive experience in the health & social care sector
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical and data analysis skills
  • An understanding of organisational risks, including legal, financial, people, quality and property
  • Excellent computer and IT skills, Microsoft Office
