Alderwood LLA are recruiting a Senior Support Worker at our services in Spinneyhill. Hillcrest House is a 5 bedroom resodential property in Northampton which provides a warm residential style setting for adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions & behaviours that may challenge.
Location: Spinneyhill, Northampton NN3
Permanent: Full Time
Salary: £23,046 per annum based on 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: This is shift based work made up of Early Shifts and Late Shifts with alternating weekends. Ability to drive is preferred but not essential. NVQ/QCF Level 2 Qualification (or working towards) is preferred. This role is known internally as Shift Leader - Level 2 and is simular to Senior Support Workers within most social care organisations.

Alderwood LLA (part of Achieve together) predominately specialises in providing specialised care and support for individuals with a diagnosis of Autism, behaviour difficulties that challenge and are most often considered to have complex needs. You will be leading a friendly team of Support Workers, supporting vulnerable adults with complex levels of Autism. As a Shift Leader 2, you will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life. You will assist people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support.
This may include:
- To ensure the smooth running of the home in the absence of the Assistant Manager and/or Manager.
- Supervise the Shift Leaders in the planning of shifts and ensuring effective allocations.
- To conduct staff supervisions if required and support the development of colleagues.
- To champion candour, company values, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety and Infection Control. Lead by example.
- Act as mediator and seek positive solutions in working relationships.
- Actively participate in own development and the development of the people we support.
- Carry out On-Call duties as and when required.
