Description

Join us as a Support Worker at Holly Tree Cottage in Berrow which is a is a 6 bedroom residential specialist service providing support for adults aged 18-35 with Autism, Learning disabilities , complex epilepsy. 

Located just a short walk from Burnham on Sea town centre, the beach, shops, restaurants, parks and a 5-minute drive from the M5 motorway, Holly Tree Cottage provides excellent links to the local community.  The nearest train station is in Highbridge which is 2 miles away. 

Location: Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8

Your new job: Support workers treat everyone equally and with the dignity and respect they deserve: you’ll play a vital part in providing support that improves the ability to manage daily tasks and enable people to experience independent living and decision making.  

Your role is to:   

  • Support people in achieving their goals and ambitions
  • Make a positive contribution to the lives of others
  • Planning and engaging in activities such as social events, days out, amusement parks and long walks 
  • Prompting and supporting full personal care  
  • Supporting individuals who may experience seizures  
  • Supporting complex physical and verbal behaviours that can be challenging, specialist training will be provided along with relevant debrief and support given
