Description

Whether you're new to care or experienced, you'll be making a world of difference when you join us as a Support Worker at Achieve together.

Join us as a Support Worker at Wembdon Rise in Bridgwater which is a residential service with 10 self contained flats each with their own facilities so individuals can practice independent living. There are six large gardens which can be used for leisure activities especially during summer months.

The service provides specialist support for adults aged 18+ with Autism, LD, Fragile X, Epilepsy and Mild Cerebral Palsy and sight impairment

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6

Permanent full and part time positions available  

Salary: £9.50phr

Your new job: Support workers treat everyone equally and with the dignity and respect they deserve: you’ll play a vital part in providing support that improves the ability to manage daily tasks and enable people to experience independent living and decision making.  

Your role is to:   

  • Support people in achieving their goals and ambitions
  • Planning and engaging in activities such as gardening, amusement arcades, theme parks shopping, arts, crafts and puzzles, Lego building, singing, dancing, horse riding, eating out, bike riding, swimming and supporting holidays
  • Proving full personal care 
  • Supporting complex physical and verbal behaviours that can be challenging, specialist training will be provided along with relevant debrief and support given 
  • Make a positive contribution to the lives of others
