Description

If you are experienced at working in care environments, you'll be making a world of difference when you join us as a Cook in our Deaf Services at Achieve together.

Location: Canterbury; CT2

Contract / Shifts available: Full-time permanent contract.  Shifts may vary depending on need.

Rate:  £10.50 p/h (£20,475 p/a based on 37.5hr week)

Your new job: You’ll play a vital part in providing balanced meals to people with hearing loss and complex needs.

Your role is to:   

  • To plan and prepare three meals a day which meet the dietary requirements of the home
  • To work in the kitchen and prepare food on your own according to menu plans devised in collaboration with the other cook(s)
  • To ensure the kitchen is stocked with best quality food and products
  • To oversee kitchen assistants and allocate duties to ensure the smooth operation before, during and after kitchen service
  • Responsibility for hygiene, health & safety of the catering team, particularly in relation to the use of COSHH products and PPE
