Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Billing Assistant to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining complete and accurate billing records.
- Prompt generation and distribution of invoices.
- Investigation and resolution of all billing queries.
- Coordination with operational teams and departments to resolve queries and issues.
- Checking information thoroughly before completing changes on billing system.
- Dealing with general and specific queries from internal and external parties via telephone, email and in person.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy of billing data.
- Working closely with the credit control team to ensure smooth collection process by resolving billing issues.
- Recommend continuous improvements to the billing process.
- To build and maintain effective working relationship across Finance and with other team members across the organisation.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in an environment where services are charged to local authorities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Previous experience using a high-volume billing system.
- Attention to detail with the ability to investigate.
- Confident with Excel and other Microsoft office systems.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
