About the people and their home

Welcome to Bushey 31, where we believe in creating meaningful lives filled with adventure, laughter, and connection! As member of this home, we’re thrilled to share how our supportive environment helps us grow well and become more independent every day. Having our team as the runners-up for the 2024 Team of the Year speaks volumes about the fantastic home we have.

Our days are packed with excitement! Whether it’s going on holidays, enjoying seaside trips, or thrilling adventures at theme parks, there’s always something fun to do. We love shopping for the latest Marvel and DC gear and attending theatre shows that ignite our imaginations. And let’s not forget our weekly adventures with Electric Umbrella, where creativity and friendship flourish! We also enjoy connecting with nature through our partnership with Sunnyside’s Animal Welfare Trust in Berkhamsted. Caring for the friendly pigs, playful goats, and cheerful chickens brings us joy and teaches us responsibility. Our relationship with the local community is very important; we look forward to coffee mornings at the church across the street, where delightful cakes await us! To support our journey toward independence, we value proactive and friendly support workers who understand our needs and interests. Whether it’s helping us plan our adventures, teaching us new skills, or simply sharing a chat about our favourite game shows, having that encouragement makes all the difference.

We love to celebrate life together, hosting our annual summer BBQ, vibrant cultural days, and festive holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah, and St. Patrick’s Day. These events bring us closer and create lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. Join us as we embrace every opportunity to grow, explore, and create meaningful lives together. Come be part of our adventure!
