Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Recruiter to join our Community Hub team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s recruitment activities and helping to deliver an efficient and engaging candidate experience.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in recruitment. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills from high-volume, fast-paced environments such as call centres, customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, or administration. Full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively attract candidates through a range of methods, including targeted campaigns, social media, online advertising and candidate sourcing
- Posting adverts across a range of platforms
- Managing recruitment activity within a defined geographical region, understanding local requirements and adapting attraction methods to meet hiring needs
- Developing attraction plans in areas with specific recruitment challenges
- Ensuring a smooth and engaging candidate journey from initial application through to outcome
- Creating talent pools and building candidate networks for future vacancies
- Building local relationships with job centres and other relevant community-based organisations
- Supporting internal stakeholders with recruitment guidance and best practice when required
- Using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure records are updated accurately and in real time
- Attending job fairs and recruitment events
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable speaking to candidates over the phone in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- A positive, proactive and team-focused attitude
- Confident building relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Previous recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential
We would especially love to hear from candidates with experience in high-volume environments such as call centres, customer service, hospitality, retail, sales support, or administration, as many of these skills transfer well into recruitment.
